July 2, 2026 - Update

Sanitary sewer installation continues south from the future pump station. As work progresses, driveway closures are expected as installation moves further south, resulting in a full closure of Union Road.

Enbridge will complete work next week to relocate existing gas infrastructure away from the new culvert location. During this work, Union Road will remain open to local traffic and emergency services only.

Union Road Closure Update

Starting July 15, Union Road will be fully closed at the Fowler Drain (8146 Union Road) for approximately 3 weeks to complete a new concrete culvert crossing.

Access impacts

Access is now available for residents north of Fingal Line to use Lanark Street and Fowler Street for access from the south, as sewer installation has progressed south of Fowler Street.

Lanark Street and Fowler Street will continue to be used for local access for residents north of Union Road during the closure period.
